Spoiler alert – I’m pretty passionate about real estate.
Early Years: When I was 21, I was making delivery to the grand opening sales party for The Brewery Lofts—one of Toronto’s original urban loft conversion projects. When I got a sneak peek of the proposed layouts of the ex-CBC prop building, I was in love! Eighteen months later, with the combination of money I’d saved, funds from the Bank of Mom and a cashed-in life insurance policy (yikes), I bought an 1,145 sq ft loft in downtown Toronto for $156,900, which included parking and a locker. Bam—I actually did it! All of this time later, two things about that experience still stand out for me: 1) Loft prices have changed a ton in the past 19 years! and 2) I’ll never forget the feeling of owning my first home. It was thrilling and I had an incredible sense of pride. I hope that all new buyers can gain the same amazing feeling of home ownership that I did.

Buying & Listing with Me: As an agent for buyers, I help my clients buy to live, flip or rent. My amazing husband and I have carved up almost every house we’ve owned, and we have a boatload of experience with all types of home improvement. I walk-the-walk and invest in real estate. I own cash-flowing income properties in and out of town and feel confident that I can offer valuable insight in this area. Once my clients find their perfect home or rental property, I ensure they’re left in good hands with expertly vetted design, construction, property management, inspection and finance contacts if required. I’m also a home-staging advocate. It’s a virtual guarantee that a correctly staged home sells for more—and that’s why this concept is a cornerstone of my listing business.
My Personality & Background: I have an extremely positive attitude and a ton of drive. Also, before I became a licensed real estate salesperson, I worked in sales and marketing at Canada’s largest independent record label. This experience allowed me to hone my already sharp negotiation, communication and market analysis skills, creativity, energetic get-it-done attitude and ability to “tell it like it is”(kindly, of course). I’m also a mother with two lovely boys and, full disclosure, you may hear some animated noises in the background when you call me. As a parent, I understand that special requirements are needed for a family home with kids at different stages. I consider it an extra skill set!
My Neighbourhood: I’m familiar with all sorts of yummy pockets in Toronto. I grew up in Parkdale in the ’80s when it wasn’t as cool as it is now. I went to French Immersion School in the Annex and High School in Lawrence Park and North Toronto. Since then, I’ve lived in Riverdale, Leslieville, the Bluffs, the Upper Beaches and back again. Recently, I’ve been involved with several sales in Southwest Mississauga, Scarborough and Markham. Overall, no GTA market is unfamiliar to me, even though I live and breathe the East End.
